Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2014

I am delighted to announce on 19th September 2014 I won the Caithness Chamber of Commerce Young Entrepreneur of the Year. This award means I have a year’s free membership to the Chamber of Commerce as well as £500.00 to spend in my Bakery.
Highlands and Islands Business Awards 2014
Mum, Granny and I attended the Highlands and Islands Business Awards in the Drumossie Hotel, Inverness on Thursday 25th September 2014. We had a lovely lunch and I received a certificate as a finalist in the Most Promising New Business Category.
Highlands and Islands Food and Drinks Awards 2014
Delighted to announce I have won the Young Shining Star at the Highlands and Islands Food and Drinks Awards. We had a fantastic night at the Kingsmills Hotel, Inverness, great food, great company and our host, Fred MacAulay was hilarious.

Scotch Pie Awards 2014.
Delighted to announce we gained one Star at the Great Taste Awards for our Vanilla Shortbread.
FINALIST AT THE PRESTIGIOUS BAKING INDUSTRY AWARDS 2015
At the beginning of September we travelled to London for the Baking Industry Awards. We enjoyed the very glamorous event at the Hilton Hotel where I was a finalist in the Rising Star category. It was a great experience!
MFR Cash For Kids Best Young Business Person 2015
Later in September I entered the MFR Cash for Kids Best Young Business Person competition and was delighted to be announced the winner.
CAKE AND BAKE SHOW SUCCESS
Absolutely delighted to announce I won the Professional Cake Decorating category at this year’s Cake and Bake Show in Edinburgh. The theme was Children’s Stories and my James and the Giant Peach cake was the winner! I won a rosette, a certificate and a Kenwood Mixer. The weekend long event took place at the Royal Highland Centre at Ingleston where we watched baking demonstrations by celebrity chefs and competitors from the Great British Bake Off. There were stalls selling all sorts of baking related equipment and delicious foods.
Glasgow 06/05/16
We attended the Scottish Bakers’ Conference in Glasgow and enjoyed a fabulous weekend of net-working and entertainment with the added bonus of picking up a Regional Bronze Award for our Chicken & Black Pudding Pie. This pie was created by chef Meganne Shearer who started working with us in October 2015. Well done Meganne!
